This tour activity takes 1 hour by transport to the town of Zapotal where the first lagoon is located. There we will board a boat that will already be waiting for you; afterwards, we will take a tour of the entire lagoon for approximately 2 hours where you will see the Mangrove Labyrinths, species of birds that migrate every year, iguanas, and more. We arrive at the Chacahua lagoon where the sea connects with the lagoon; there you can swim and relax or enjoy some seafood.

Yes, pickup from your accommodation is included at no extra cost if it's located within Puerto Escondido. If you're outside the city limits, transportation can be arranged for an additional fee.

Absolutely! Swimming in the glowing bioluminescent waters is one of the most magical parts of this experience. It's completely safe and optional—just bring a swimsuit and towel.

  • The lagoon is calm and safe, but all participants must follow the guide's instructions, especially when getting on or off the boat. Life jackets are available upon request.
